Rooftop solar systems.

Emergent Energy is fast becoming the leading developer of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects for South African businesses. Declining equipment costs, rising electricity prices, and a friendlier regulatory environment have created an opportunity for business to reduce electricity overheads through the use of rooftop solar systems. This new highly attractive investment and cost saving environment has sparked a rapid acceleration in private solar PV projects in South Africa.

With 5.6MW of industrial solar PV and 2.5MW of agricultural solar PV projects under development, Emergent Energy has a project pipeline of around R115 million.

Current projects include a 3 000m2 rooftop PV system at the state-of-the-art Novo Packhouse, in Paarl, as well as a system for the leading Internet service provider Cybersmart.

As a wholly South African-owned business, the Emergent Energy team has extensive local and international experience in the renewable energy sector, and offers expertise in large renewable energy projects, off-grid renewable energy systems, sustainable green building design, industrial and commercial energy efficiency, and international and local renewable energy policy.
