Introducing iStore Makers: the evolution of iconic iPhoneography

[Johannesburg, 10 February 2017]
iStore is proud to introduce iStore Makers, a progressive movement of the renowned iPhoneography competition. This new online creative platform launched today, 10 February 2017.
iPhoneography was launched in 2012 with a small group of people experimenting with their iPhones and capturing meaningful moments in their lives. Over the past five years, South African iPhoneographers have taken over 18 000 epic photos. Photographers submitted their work for judging once or twice every year. This year, iStore has changed the game by widening the opportunity for the community to now submit photographs as well as illustrations that have been created on any Apple products.
This interactive platform allows users to upload their work and share it with friend and family. A user can also view and ‘like' another entrance's works.
iStore Makers competition is for amateur or professional illustrators and photographers to create, be inspired and share their work all year round. A winning work will be selected every month and the winner will receive a R1 000 iStore voucher. The grand prize, an iPad Pro with Apple Pencil, will be awarded at the end of the 12-month cycle.
There will be opportunities for the community to learn even more with the latest tips and tricks and can also get involved in a variety of iStore Makers workshops around the country.
iStore has invited creatives who are known and respected in their field to judge the competition. Judges include Anthony Bila, Zeno Peterson, Lebo Lukewarm and Annie Raman.
Whether you are a professional photographer or illustrator, or just an enthusiast, iStore Makers provides an amazing platform for you to share and be rewarded for the amazing things you create using your Apple products.
