mapIT, in association with Integrat, announce its first Developers' Day in Kenya using the deCarta LBS API

[Johannesburg, 19 March 2013] - To follow on from the last successful mapIT Developers' Day, held in October 2012, mapIT is looking at expanding its service offering across Africa and will be hosting its first Developers' Day in Nairobi, Kenya, on 25 March 2013. The event will be hosted in association with mapIT’s Kenyan partner, Integrat – a leading mobile aggregation services provider.

The development session will showcase the latest features available on the deCarta location-based services (LBS) platform, covering both Web and mobile applications. The focus will be on deCarta’s newest version of its JavaScript application programming interface (API), which is built on top of the industry’s leading independent high-volume LBS platform. With more than eight million kilometres of road and two million points of interest across Africa, the developers are ensured of getting access to the best possible data/platform in Africa.

Leveraging cutting-edge HTML5 technologies, developers will learn how to “write once and deploy everywhere”.
