COMPANY PROFILE The goal of Marie Stopes South Africa is the prevention of unwanted births, and our mission is to afford women the right to have children by choice not by chance. OUR STAFF All clinics are staffed by professional doctors and nurses. A high standard of care is provided within a friendly, sympathetic environment of a small well managed clinic. COUNSELLING All clients and their partners are fully counselled in an environment that is non-threatening, non-judgemental and caring. Confidentiality is assured at all times. In cases where alternative options are appropriate, the necessary arrangements are made for the client. No person is ever turned away without support from the professional team. Marie Stopes S.A. currently has 30 clinics situated in the Gauteng, Kwazulu Natal, Free State, Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga provinces. These clinics offer safe abortions and all family planning methods, including vasectomies and female sterilization. Over and above these services, ante-natal check-ups and HIV testing have been introduced. Marie Stopes are day clinics only, and as such do not provide overnight facilities.
