Leading South African physical asset management company, Pragma, and global engineering, management and specialist technical services group, Aurecon, have signed a formal agreement to deliver turnkey asset management solutions in the African market, including for water and electricity service providers as well as municipalities.
“Through the combination of the two companies' proven methodologies and skills as well as experienced staff, we're in a position to offer these solutions across the full life cycle of projects, ie, from feasibility to acquisition, installation, operation and maintenance, and ultimately, decommissioning. This includes managing assets during operation and developing infrastructure asset management plans,” says Alan Tait, Managing Director of Pragma, responsible for the African region.
Tait continues: “The partnership will be beneficial to both organisations' clients who will have access to a holistic services offering with regard to their asset management needs, no matter how simple or complex their requirements are. We're extremely excited about our agreement with Aurecon, as it will enable us to offer cost-effective, efficient turnkey solutions.”
Chris von Holdt, Environment & Advisory Services Leader, Cape Town, at Aurecon, agrees, saying: “The service has the potential to add immense value to our clients' projects. When delivered effectively, this service has the potential to ensure that assets deliver lasting benefits for all stakeholders, including the communities in which they are built.”
