[Johannesburg, 4 October 2011]

Quirk marketing agency has announced a strategic partnership with Oracle Systems, in an effort to cement the growing importance of e-commerce in the South African digital landscape.

Quirk's decision to partner with Oracle was influenced by its complementary approach to technology, in particular, the eCommerce platform ATG.

Quirk Chief Technology Officer Craig Raw highlights the benefits of the partnership: “Quirk is already very strong in Java (an Oracle technology on which ATG e-commerce is based), so this partnership makes sense for us,” he said.

“Leveraging our development and UX (user experience) skills to deliver enterprise e-commerce solutions on this platform is a tremendously exciting opportunity.”

Quirk Chief Relationship Officer Kathryn Sharfman believes the partnership would be critical for an agency with a “full service” digital offering.

“Working with Oracle's technology gives our clients direct access to highly extensible online commerce platforms,” she said.

It reinforces that technology continues to be a key enabler of business, and will continue to shape the future of successful brands”.

Quirk is a marketing agency. Born digital, driven by creativity, and disciplined by results.

It is proud to partner with key clients that include include Woolworths, Capitec Bank, Sun International, ADT, DStv, Distell, Warner Bros and Investec
