Suzuki Auto South Africa announced its top sales achievers – including the prestigious Achiever of the Year award – at an awards evening at Zebula Lodge, north of Pretoria, this week.
The Achiever awards recognise outstanding sales results across the Suzuki Auto dealer network, while also distinguishing between large, medium and small dealerships. In addition, the awards acknowledge the efforts of individual sales executives and sales managers.
Suzuki Hatfield took top honours in the Top Volume category, after posting 377 sales during 2011. Second place belonged to Suzuki Parow with a tally of 355 units, followed closely by Suzuki Bryanston, which recorded 344 unit sales for the year.
In the Larger Dealership category, Suzuki Hatfield's top volume performance also earned it a gold award, with Suzuki Johannesburg South taking silver, and Suzuki Northcliff taking home the bronze.
Gold in the Medium Dealership category went to Suzuki Bramley, while Suzuki Polokwane received a silver award. Suzuki Umhlanga was not only awarded bronze, but was also honoured with the Most Improved Dealer award.
The gold award in the Small Dealership category was won by Suzuki Nelspruit, followed by Suzuki East London's silver. The bronze belonged to Suzuki Zululand.
The prestigious overall Top Achievers prize went to Suzuki Bryanston.
As far as the Top Sales Executive awards for 2011 are concerned, top honours and a platinum award went to Jared Stoutjesdyk, after posting a personal tally of 106 units during 2011.
Stoutjesdyk was also the recipient of a Gold award for the top sales performance at a large dealership. Silver and bronze in the large category went to Warwick MacGillicuddy and Jason Jones respectively.
The best sales performance in the Medium Dealership category earned Thabo Thantsha a gold award, while Devan Kannipan won silver. Johan Olivier earned the bronze award in this category.
Gold in the Small Dealership segment was won by Gabriel Baartman, with Werner Kreutzer on silver, and Angela Joubert taking the bronze.
Suzuki Auto SA's top sales managers for 2011 were Cindy-Lee Nieuwenhuizen with 71 units sold, followed by Sharon Liebenberg on 55 units, and Greg van Kerckhoven on 52 units.
“Suzuki's popularity in SA continues to grow, despite the extremely competitive nature of the local car market, and a very discerning customer base,” says Kazuyuki Yamashita, managing director of Suzuki Auto SA.
“Our successes to date rely heavily on our dealer network, and the ability of the dedicated teams at each of our dealerships to represent Suzuki's range of passenger cars and SUVs so positively.
“It is therefore an honour for the Suzuki Auto SA management team to recognise the achievements of our top-performing dealerships, as well as the efforts of those individuals who contribute to that success,” he concluded.
