The Entertainer has upgraded its product with a brand new software update. Now, thousands of 'buy one get one free' offers are housed in a new app, which has been developed with the user's experience in mind.

The new features include an enhanced home page, which includes your category buttons, savings tracker and featured merchants. A simple swipe left will take you to a page full of personal purchase information, such as how much you have saved and how many offers you have redeemed.

It also tracks your 'Smiles'. Smiles are a new virtual currency offered and earned in the app that allows a customer to buy back offers and buy pings. More spending options for Smiles are continuously being investigated – now, not only can you save money, but you can earn Smiles at the same time.

How do you earn Smiles?

Redeem: Earn Smiles for every offer you use.
Share on social: Share your savings, badges earned or venues with friends on social media and earn 200 Smiles every time.
Refer a friend: Earn 500 Smiles when your friend downloads and registers The Entertainer App, and earn a further 2 000 Smiles if they make a purchase (their first purchase only).
Levels and badges: You receive 200 Smiles for every badge you earn, and 500 Smiles every time you move up a level.

In addition, there is a leader-board functionality – with connected accounts, members can track their friends' savings and compete to be the highest earner on the leader-board for true bragging rights.

The addition of a notifications tab allows members to find the latest news, as well as any important updates or messages.
