And the winner of the MTN Quiz4Moola is...

MTN today announced the winner of the Quiz4Moola competition, who will pocket R1 million in cash and the runner up, who gets an all-expenses paid family trip to Disneyland.

Andre Bernard, from Durban was selected as the winner of the R1 million prize, while Gordon Gcwabaza from Soweto won the runner-up prize of an all-expenses family trip to Disneyland in the United States.

MTN launched the Quiz4Moola competition in March. The knowledge-based competition rewards customers with points for each correct answer and bonus points for getting a stipulated number of consecutive answers right.

After opting in, contestants receive trivia questions on a range of different topics, which include general trivia, science, nature, sports and technology.

During the competition, participants won daily prizes of R15 000 cash and monthly prizes of R100 000. Contestants were eligible for a grand prize of R1 million cash regardless of whether they won either the daily or monthly prize.

"At MTN, we believe that being brainy shouldn't just be for impressing others. Quiz4Moola has given our subscribers the opportunity to showcase their aptitude and get rewarded for it. We are pleased with the enthusiastic feedback we have received from our customers on this competition," says Larry Annetts, Chief Marketing Officer: MTN South Africa.

Annetts announced that the Quiz4Moola will be extended to 30 September 2015 due to popular demand. The extended competition will have new prizes which include 85 x R15 000 daily prizes, 14 x R50 000 weekly prizes, 3 x R100 000 monthly prizes and a R1 million grand prize.

To participate in MTNQuiz4Moola, subscribers should SMS the word 'WIN' to 30640 at a cost of R1.50 and collect points for every answer they get right.
