MTN is giving five winners each, with five friends, a chance to win a trip of a lifetime, to see football giant Manchester United play at Old Trafford - the Theatre of Dreams.

MTN announced its partnership with Manchester United Football Club (MUFC) last year, to become the exclusive South African telecommunications partner of the world's best-supported football club.

Some of the other highlights of the prize include sightseeing in Manchester, a tour of Old Trafford to see the dugout, where Sir Alex Ferguson sits during the game, the players' change room, the trophy room, the Manchester United museum, and shopping at the MUFC Mega Store. Winners can also feel the full English hospitality experience at a traditional fish-and-chip shop, a quick stop in London, and memories to last a lifetime.

The competition will be open to MTN subscribers only. To enter, subscribers can simply SMS: “Ayoba Man Utd” to 30577 to stand in line to win this truly Ayoba experience.

MTN is the local touch point for information, content, and experiences from Manchester United. With an estimated global fan base of 333 million people, the Manchester United agreement is designed to set MTN even further apart from its competitors.

“With one of the most diverse support bases in world football, South African football fans from all walks of life can identify with Manchester United. By partnering with the Old Trafford-based club, MTN is providing customers and fans alike with a front-row seat to world club football,” says Natasha Basson, MTN SA.

MTN is also investing in local football and is the main sponsor to Ajax Cape Town, Golden Arrows, Black Leopards, and recently, Bloemfotein Celtic. MTN is committed to investing in the communities in which it operates. With this in mind, the two organisations will work closely together on community initiatives.

“The MU Foundation will tie into what we are doing through the MTN SA Foundation in focusing on community upliftment. Both organisations are committed to enhancing the lives of those less privileged, and this partnership will extend strongly into clearly aligned community initiatives,” concludes Natasha.
