MTN today announced it will offer the iPhone 4S to customers, beginning 16 December. The iPhone 4S will be available starting at R499pm (MTN 200) for the 16GB model; R649pm (MTN 350) for the 32GB model; and R819pm (MTN 500) for the 64GB model at selected MTN retail stores and online at www.mtn.co.za. iPhone 4S packages include 250MB free data per month for 24 months.

MTN also offers the iPhone 4 for R269pm (MTN 100) for the 8GB model, as well as the iPhone 3GS. Customers can register online at www.mtnsp.co.za for the much sought-after iPhone 4S.

The iPhone 4S is the most amazing iPhone yet, packed with incredible new features, including Apple's dual-core A5 chip for blazing-fast performance and stunning graphics; an all-new camera with advanced optics and full 1080p HD resolution video recording. With the launch of iPhone 4S also comes the launch of iOS 5, the world's most advanced mobile operating system with over 200 new features; and iCloud, a breakthrough set of free cloud services that work with the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or PC to automatically and wirelessly store users' content in iCloud and push it to all their devices.

Says Brian Gouldie, MTN South Africa's Chief Sales Executive: “MTN's offer of this much-sought after handset speaks to the company's ongoing commitment to provide its customers with the latest and cutting-edge devices and services.”

As the innovation pioneer in South Africa, MTN was the first local operator to introduce the fantastic Apple iPhone 4 - an Ayoba smartphone - and with the launch of the new iPhone 4S, it is bringing a worthy successor to the iconic device - indeed smartphones love smart networks.

“MTN remains confident that the substantial investment it has made in its network will ensure that its subscribers optimally and seamlessly tap into the myriad of exciting applications that the iPhone 4S provides,” concludes Gouldie.

Customers can visit the MTN Web site (www.mtn.co.za) for details on selected MTN 'launch stores', as well as full pricing.
