Due to popular demand, MTN announces the addition of yet another innovative addition to MTN Zone - the provider's PayAsYouGo and TopUp exclusive price plan.

MTN subscribers on MTN Zone will now have an additional benefit of free talk time between 1am and 4am throughout the week, allowing them the opportunity to connect with friends and family at no cost.

MTN Zone is a per second billing price plan, which offers customers discounts of up to 100% on calls and SMSes to MTN numbers dependant on the user's location and time of day.

The new service offering of extended free talk time, which was launched in September to the current MTN Zone customers, has been extremely well received.

Says Serame Taukobong, MTN South Africa Chief Marketing Officer: “MTN has always focused on understanding its customers' needs and continually tailors its services to meet those needs. The uptake observed on MTN Zone throughout its history from launch in 2007 to date has been significant, growing considerably throughout the years, leading to the current base of over 11 million subscribers. MTN is now going further to make our customers' summer even more Ayoba, with the introduction of the additional free talk time between 1am and 4am.

“We believe that remaining ahead of the curve is not only about consistently offering new products and services, but also about taking care of our customers and meeting their needs. MTN Zone is just one of the many initiatives we have in place that rewards MTN customers for their loyalty by giving them the ability to reach out and connect for free.”

To join MTN Zone, users simply need to dial *141*4*2#. Moving to this price plan is both immediate and hassle-free. In addition, MTN Zone users can dial *135# or contact the MTN Call Centre to view currently available discounted rates in their location.

(This offer applies to MTN-to-MTN calls only and does not include international calls, premium rated calls, data calls, video calls and MMS services.)
