With the festive season approaching, the need to stay in touch with and connected to family and friends increases. There are holidays to plan, special days to celebrate and good news to share. With so much talking to do, MTN has come to the party with an offer that lets you talk for 60 extra minutes, for free. That's a whole hour of free minutes over a two-day period, any time of the day or night, to talk to anyone else on the MTN network.

“Summer in South Africa is all about connecting with family and friends, catching up on the year's activities and getting together to celebrate. All of this means spending more time on calls, which means spending more hard-earned cash that could be spent on something else,” comments Serame Taukobong, chief marketing officer of MTN SA.

“At MTN, we understand this and are giving our prepaid customers something back for their continued Ayoba support and loyalty throughout the year.”

As from 28 November, any MTN PayAsYouGo customer on the Call per Second plan, who buys a single recharge voucher to the value of R30 or more, will benefit by 'earning' an hour's worth of airtime for free. The 60 minutes of free voice airtime can be used at any time over a two-day period, for MTN-to-MTN calls.

“So, if you buy a R30 voucher on a Wednesday morning, for example, the 60 free minutes will remain valid until 23:59 on the Thursday night, giving you plenty of time to talk up a storm! Customers can enjoy up to 60 free minutes over a two-day period. So, after two days, all they have to do is buy another R30 or more recharge voucher - and get to talk for another 60 minutes for free,” explains Taukobong.

“And, of course, this offer is in addition to the other great specials that our prepaid customers currently enjoy, such as MTN Zone Mahala for calls and SMSs where you can make a call or send a SMS for up to 100%, depending on the time and location of the call.

“The festive season is a time of giving, and MTN is giving its loyal PayAsYouGo customers free minutes so they, in turn, can give to their family and friends in the form of more talking, for less,” concludes Taukobong.

The 'buy R30 or more recharge voucher, get 60 minutes free airtime over a two-day period' promotion runs from 28 November to 22 December 2010, and is valid for all MTN PayAsYouGo customers on the Call per Second plan.
