Kicking off our: Meet your campus principal series is Yolandi Collins from the Rosebank College Pretoria Sunnyside campus. In our informal interview with Collins we find out what she loves most about her job, what she does for fun and what she is looking forward to in 2018.

Tell us a little about yourself?

I'm kind and compassionate. I'm a mother of two boys and I have a baby girl on the way in June. I'm married to my best friend who I met in Dubai, he is a civil engineer.

What would most people be surprised to learn about you?

I am a certified open water scuba diver. I lived in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for five years and I bake a killer carrot cake!

What do you love most about your job?

Every day is different. I get to see how we change lives by educating people, seeing them graduate and contributing towards our country's economy.

What motto do you live by?

"Karma has no deadline and never loses an address" and "The truth floats."

What do you do in your spare time?

I garden, paint, DIY and bake.

How long have you been principal?

Four years.

What are you looking forward to the most in 2018?

The arrival of my baby girl on 6 June 2018.

Anything else you would like to add?

I love pizza and salad.
