E-toll test case: SANRAL clarifies

Issued by SANRAL
Johannesburg, Sep 27, 2016

The South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) has been requested to clarify whether a test case has been agreed with Outa members.

SANRAL is in discussion with Outa's legal representatives about whether a test case will be feasible. Those discussions are occurring on a without prejudice basis and SANRAL is therefore not at liberty to disclose more details about those engagements.

However, members of the public should be clear that Outa members have not been granted "immunity until the test case has been completed" as Outa's representative, Wayne Duvenage, has claimed in prior media statements.
