FedGroup brings its enchanted land back to the 2012 FPI Convention

The 2012 FPI Convention kicked off on 20 June 2012, at the Sandton City Convention Centre. Considered the largest event on the South African financial planning calendar, the Convention will attract approximately 1 000 delegates, over the course of two days.

FedGroup, which achieved silver in the design category at last year's convention, has again set up its enchanted land. The stand, which was designed with the group's Employee Benefits slogan “Insure a happily ever after” in mind, boasts a fresh element this year. A wishing well, complete with FedGroup-branded coins, has been incorporated into the existing stand to ensure an interactive experience for attending delegates.

By inviting financial planners to visit the well and make their happily ever after wishes, FedGroup hopes to not only showcase its brand, but also network with financial planners.

“We are not your run-of-the-mill financial services company. We are different in our offering and in our service. We pride ourselves on product simplicity and personalised service. The purpose of our stand is to create a distinctive reference point of who we are for financial planners. In addition to the stand itself, we have three sales consultants representing the FedGroup family each day and they look forward to interacting with attending financial planners,” says FedGroup sales manager, Lesley Stewart.

Stewart also explained that while some FedGroup sales consultants would be networking from the stand, others would be attending keynote sessions.

“Attending the keynote sessions is an enriching experience. Industry changes are highlighted and discussed by local and international experts. What we take away from these sessions places us in the position to talk to our brokers about changes that affect them and our clients.”
