Specialist Oracle Hyperion solution provider, Futuresense, has appointed two new directors.

The company, which has over a decade of experience in financial management software implementations, focuses on the full Oracle Hyperion enterprise performance management (EPM) solution, including financial close and reports, budgeting and planning, forecasting and modelling, sensitivities and stress-testing, as well as training and support.

"Riaan Mellet and Derik Rothman each have more than 10 years' experience in a very sophisticated space, with a lot of skill each in their respective fields. As specialists, they bring this knowledge and expertise to Futuresense, really strengthening our offering," says Steven Hyslop, Director of Futuresense.

"We are really excited to have them on the team to further help our clients get the most out of their financial management software."

Rothman will be responsible for promoting and expanding the Hyperion Budgeting & Planning business within Futuresense. With 13 years working in the Hyperion space, Rothman brings not only the hands-on proficiency with the Oracle software suite, but business expertise as a result of running his own Hyperion implementation business.

"It made sense to take my current business and join forces with Futuresense," Rothman explains. "Together, we can serve a wider client base and leverage off the knowledge of more skilled individuals working as a close team, thereby delivering a more expert solution to customers."

Similarly, Mellet ran his own firm before joining Futuresense. With a background as a Chartered Accountant, he has close to 20 years of experience in the financial software industry, implementing financial consolidation systems at some of South Africa's largest companies. Mellet will be responsible for leading and growing the Financial Consolidation and Close solutions for Futuresense's clients.

"My experience lies specifically in Hyperion Financial Management, and Futuresense will allow me to bring my passion for the solution to our joint client base. Together, we can offer a wider understanding of the complex business requirements organisations face today, as well as expertise with the technology, and I am looking forward to helping Futuresense to expand on the value it brings to clients," Mellet says.

"This growth in our leadership allows us to expand our client base, take-on new implementations and develop within the EPM solution set we offer. We already have great relationships within the financial offices in our client companies and we look forward to building on those through better and better service. We now boast the strongest set of skills in the Hyperion space in the country," Hyslop concludes.
