ITWeb is pleased to announce that Hitachi Vantara has come on board a bronze sponsor for the ITWeb Data Centre Summit 2018, to be held on 10 and 11 July, at The Forum in Bryanston. In addition, the company will be sponsoring the Urban Caf'e, to ensure all delegates get their caffeine fix!

Over and above the sponsorship, Cleo Becker, regional counsel, emerging markets EMEA and Israel, legal and compliance, Hitachi Vantara, will be presenting on 'Intelligent data governance' at the Summit.

During her presentation, Becker will introduce delegates to governance and regulatory compliance rules to help them gain control of corporate data organisation-wide. She will also talk about maintaining long-term content integrity, authenticity, and immutability to satisfy country-specific regulations across the globe.

In addition, Becker will teach delegates to securely automate discovery, extraction, classification, enrichment, and categorisation across any data landscape for reliable and streamlined compliance, and will speak about blending policy-based automation, data protection, integrated search, visualisation and reporting in a singular, proven compliance platform.

Angela Mace, CRM and events director of ITWeb, says the data centre space is in a fast-evolving one. "Driven by trends such as cloud computing, big data and the Internet of things, the data centre is becoming a key element of the organisation's digital transformation strategy, as businesses look to stay ahead of competitors and maximise their technology efficiencies."

"This year and beyond, innovative solutions and concepts around data centre architecture will force business leaders and IT professionals to think a little differently when it comes to helping the data centre run more optimally and create competitive advantages," she adds.

Delegates attending the ITWeb Data Centre Summit 2018 will have the opportunity to meet with over 200 qualified end-users of data centre architecture, infrastructure, technologies and solutions, as well as consumers of the latest trends. They will also hear the latest insight from numerous vendors and learn from several demonstrations and practical content.

"Moreover, they will discover the latest data centre technology and trends across Africa and globally, and will catch a glimpse into what the future looks like for the modern data centre," Mace concludes.
