Two MTN female executives will brave the icy Johannesburg winter on the evening of 8 August 2017, to raise funds for Door of Hope, an organisation which creates safe shelter for vulnerable children.

Mapula Bodibe, Executive for Consumer Business Unit at MTN SA and Mandisa Ntloko, General Manager for Enterprise Marketing, MTN Business, will be taking part in the SheEO SleepOut, an initiative run by the CEO SleepOut initiative.

The SheEO SleepOut will be taking place at the Constitutional Hill, Johannesburg. Both executives have donated a fee of R100 000 to participate in the event.

"Our participation in this worthy initiative mirrors the values of the MTN SA Foundation of always striving to be an agent of positive change. As a socially responsible and caring corporate citizen, this initiative demonstrates our ongoing commitment to be responsive to the needs of the communities we operate in. While our participation in the SheEO SleepOut may be a small gesture, we are nonetheless emboldened by the tangible and lasting difference that this collective effort will have on the lives of those who are less fortunate," says Bodibe.

Ntloko adds: "This initiative gives us as women the opportunity to give expression to our caring and nurturing spirit as mothers and sisters. We are humbled to be part of this initiative that raises funds for a worthy and noble cause. We are looking forward to making a small sacrifice that will give hope and a much-needed lifeline to the vulnerable children."
