NWU academic recognised for outstanding service in clinical psychology

Prof Erhabor Idemudia, a research professor in the Faculty of Humanities at the North-West University's (NWU's) campus in Mahikeng, was recently awarded the fellowship of the Nigerian Association of Clinical Psychology (NACP) in recognition for his outstanding services to the science and profession of clinical psychology in Nigeria and globally.

The NACP fellowship is the highest level of the association's membership and is reserved for accomplished professionals in the clinical psychology profession.

Prof Idemudia was also invited by the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ibadan for a two-week academic visit to facilitate seminars, share research expertise with post-graduate students and academics, and to explore future collaboration.

"This is a huge honour for me and reflects on the work I am doing as a research professor. I thank God Almighty for giving me life and the intellect to contribute to academic output in South Africa and globally."

In 2017, Prof Idemudia was also honoured with a fellowship from the Nigerian Psychological Association.
