NWU professor speaks at the 4th Biannual International Group Theory Conference

North-West University Mafikeng Campus Professor, Jamshid Moori, recently formed part of a panel of speakers at the fourth annual 2017 Biennial International Group Theory Conference (4BIGT) held at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (also known as UTM) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 22 January until 27 January 2017.

Prof Moori is an NRF B-rated researcher and a research Professor at North-West University in mathematical sciences. His presentation was on "Finite groups, Designs and Codes".

The aim of this conference was to exchange the research ideas among the group theorists and postgraduate students. In addition, specialists in the subject of group theory can present their latest research works and encourage interested students to progress and widen their knowledge in group theory.

"It is always good to meet and engage other academics and researchers around the world and develop a better understanding of the subject and field of mathematics and its related fields. It was truly an honour to be part of the conference," Prof Moori said.
