NWU Mafikeng Campus presents 10th Winter Camp
This year, the Mafikeng Campus of the NWU presented its 10th Winter Camp for grade 12 learners. The Winter Camp, or Winter School, as it is also known took place from 27 June to 10 July on the Mafikeng Campus and was attended by 660 grade 12 learners from schools across the entire North West province.
Other than being a marketing tool for the university, the programme offers learners a real in-depth learning experience from some of the best professional teachers in each subject, as well as an induction programme for learners into university life.
The programme covers all commerce and sciences subjects and provides a detailed subject study guide to assist learners in their self-study and preparation for their upcoming trial and final examinations.
"The Winter Camp is a great initiative and what makes it special is that we're celebrating its 10th year since inception. Ten years of offering the best quality education for our learners and hopefully North-West University learners. True to our motto, we are shaping young leaders and intellectuals that will begin their journey with our university," said Mafikeng Campus Winter Camp Programme Coordinator Phenyo Mokgothu.
