SANRAL welcomes new board members

The South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) CEO Nazir Alli welcomed the newly appointed board chair and new non-executive members to the SANRAL Board of Directors.

Cabinet made the announcement on 5 March 2015.

"The SANRAL staff are pleased to welcome a new board chair together with four new board members. The agency continues to strive to build and maintain a world-class national road network. The new board's experience and proven leadership will definitely add impetus to this mission and will serve the agency well," said Alli, who, by virtue of his CEO position, is an executive director on the board.

The SANRAL Board has a strategic oversight function as well as providing support to enable the fulfilment of the vision, mission and goals of the organisation in implementing government policy.

"We take this opportunity to thank the outgoing board for its guidance and the leadership of Dudu Nyamane for her sterling work in leading the board as acting Chair for the last half-a-year or so," said Alli.
