Traffic advisory: road closure N2 section 26 at kilometre 3.7

The South African National Roads Agency (Sanral) would like to notify motorists that intermittent/partial road closure is scheduled to take place on the N2, section 26 on 24, 25, 26, and 27 March 2018 intermittently between 10pm and 4am.

The closure is necessary for dismantling of overhead formwork along the N2 North bound carriageway, at the Cornubia overhead bridge construction.

The East bound traffic will be diverted at the M41 Mount Edgecombe Interchange as follows:

1. Traffic will be diverted onto the M41 Eastbound towards UMhlanga Rocks Drive towards the M4 North. 2. The on Ramp from M41 east to the N2 north will be closed off to traffic and motorist will be diverted along the M41 Eastbound carriageway and guided to the M4 North. 3. Traffic will be guided to the Sibaya Interchange and all detour routes will be clearly demarcated by the applicable and relevant signage and all critical high traffic areas will be manned by trained and accredited flagmen for the public motorist. 4. Road Traffic Inspectorate Umdloti will monitor the diversion of traffic.

The closure may need to be adjusted depending on weather conditions on the day. If need be, a second notice with information of the new time will be made available.

Motorists are urged to proceed with caution and adhere to speed limits. The patience and co-operation of motorists will be appreciated.
