UKZN’S ENACTUS team placed in the top 16 at ENACTUS World Cup 2020. This is a huge achievement as the team has now positioned UKZN in the top 1% globally when it comes to social entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainable impact by ENACTUS teams in higher institutions. As national champions, ENACTUS UKZN not only represents UKZN on a global level, but South Africa as well.

Having recently qualified as 2020 National Champions, ENACTUS UKZN qualified to represent South Africa in this year's World Cup, where it competed against teams from 35 countries. We are delighted that our team has brought pride to this university.

This is in addition to their global achievements for the year, one of them being the Ford Fund recognising them as one of the top 14 teams innovatively responding to challenges brought by COVID-19.

ENACTUS UKZN’s activities span agriculture, education, renewable energy and food security initiatives. Aloe Go, Sack Space Farming, Pallet Project, Jonga Phezulu Agri-Hub Farming Programme and Cleanville are some of their current projects. The team works hard to empower the community by working side-by-side with them to create entrepreneurial and sustainable solutions.

ENACTUS UKZN continues to inspire greatness by representing this university positively and showcasing innovative and creative ideas.

We are very proud and excited about the performance of this group of young entrepreneurs who have the potential to change our society for the better.
