MBChB student graduates summa cum laude

At the top of his class, Ahmed Sameer Ikram will graduate with an MBChB summa cum laude from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) today.

Ikram, who was also a recipient of the prestigious Y.K. Seedat prize, awarded to exceptional students, says this achievement means a lot to him and is a testament to his hard work over the years.

"My advice to other students is to savour the opportunity and always strive for perfection, actualise the Hippocratic Oath and help others whenever you have the opportunity."

Ikram is currently serving his internship at King Edward VIII Hospital.
