Father and son celebrate graduation together

Dane Arumugam and his son, Jadrian, will both receive post-graduate degrees at the University of KwaZulu-Natal's (UKZN) 2020 virtual graduation ceremony today.

Arumugam, who is the Finance Manager at UKZN's College of Humanities, completed a PhD in Higher Education, and Jadrian, an honour's degree in Industrial Psychology.

Jadrian says his father is his role model: "Watching him achieve numerous qualifications inspired me to follow in his footsteps."

The UKZN virtual graduation ceremony will be broadcast on SABC 3 (DSTV Channel 193) today at 1:30pm. Graduands will join via the link: https://virtualgraduation.ukzn.ac.za/.

UKZN has also partnered with Ukhozi FM on a special graduation programme, which will be broadcast between 12pm and 3pm today.
