Schneider Electric equips FSASEC workshop
Schneider Electric, in partnership for the past six years with Vaal University of Technology (VUT) and the French Ministry of Education has sponsored the latest electrical equipment components to the French South African Schneider Electric Education Centre (FSASEC).
"The components will be used in the workshop to build some practical materials for students to use in the labs when conducting experiments," said Alexandre Sebastiani: Director FSASEC.
FSASEC trains underprivileged students who cannot afford to go to university in domestic installation, safety and industrial wiring and also provides N courses for electrical engineering. Twenty-four students benefit from this every year. Not only are they equipping these students with skills, they also get those already working in the field to come and share their experiences so that students know what to expect in the workplace.
