VUT residence officials learn good practice
Vaal University of Technology (VUT) residence officials attended a winter school development workshop for good practices at the Tshwane University of Technology.
Here they learnt how to handle crises and conflicts and how to mediate when they have student challenges. They also learnt how they could use the correct practice when they experience unfair behaviour from managers. They also received lessons on leadership fitness - on how to be mentally, morally and emotionally fit.
The purpose of the workshop was to bring together a number of universities so that they could all discuss the challenges they face and how to overcome them. They were also taught how to manage budgets.
Among the guests were Jomo Jacobs: NSFAS CEO and VUT's Professor Gordon Zide who took part in the presentation.
