VUT Graduation 2016

Students of Vaal University of Technology (VUT) will reap the fruits of their labour when they graduate during April 2016. Additionally, these graduation ceremonies, to be held from 11-21 April, will have extra special meaning as they coincide with the institution's 50th anniversary year.

Approximately 2 435 students will receive qualifications in various fields of study in the faculties of Engineering & Technology, Applied & Computer Sciences, Management Sciences and Human Sciences. This figure only applies to students who will graduate at the Vanderbijlpark Campus. Statistics for other campuses will be made available as soon as they are concluded.

Among the graduands will be those outstanding few who obtain their doctoral degrees; the highest qualification attainable at the university.

The graduation ceremonies will take place as follows on different delivery sites:

11 - 15 AprilVanderbijlpark Campus

19 AprilSecunda Campus

20 AprilEkhurhuleni Campus

21 AprilUpington Campus

On the evening of Friday, 22 April, the Upington campus of VUT will be hosting a gala dinner for businesses, celebrating both VUT's 50th anniversary as well as its own 21st birthday.

The Premier of the Northern Cape Province, Sylvia Lucas, will be the guest of honour on the night.

VUT graduation ceremonies will be attended by public officials, alumni, members of council, donors, business partners, parents, families and relatives of students. The University Choir will provide entertainment with their wonderful musical renditions.
